Week 4 of HSL saw another hour-long Dota 2 match against Te Puke High School and Lynfield College. TPHS were coming in from a loss against Scots College last week and looking to redeem themselves, but Lynfield had 3 wins under their belt and were looking to claim another.
First blood of the match went to Ysera of Lynfield College – who would prove to be a stand-out of the match later on – against Gsol on the opposing team. 6 minutes into the match the first major team vs team clash occurred, with Lynfield taking 2 more points and TPHS securing their first of the game.
Ysera continued to show dominance throughout the match, with a significant amount of double, triple and ultra kills credited to his gameplay. Half way through the match the score read 17-4 to Lynfield as TPHS struggled to gain trajectory against a strong attack from their opponents.
Lynfield’s strong assault continued throughout the game, and even though TPHS managed to rack up 8 more kills it wasn’t enough to stop their opposition. The match wrapped up 42-12 to Lynfield.
