LPL will always endeavor to provide a competitive, fair and most importantly safe environment for esports players competing in our leagues. Safety is of utmost importance to us - not only for players but talent and personnel too.
Due to current border restrictions set in place by the New Zealand government regarding COVID-19, coupled with the mandatory two week quarantine in place for all new arrivals into the country, we unfortunately have had to make the executive decision to cancel the LPL Pro CS:GO Season 3 LAN Finals set to take place in late November this year.
It saddens and disappoints the entire LPL team to have to cancel our LAN Finals for the second time this year based on the ever-evolving climate in New Zealand and Australia. However, we understand and respect the decision made by our government to keep our borders closed to protect all New Zealand citizens from COVID-19.
We hope that the LPL community can understand and empathise with our decision-making. 2021 is looking to be our biggest year yet across the platform and we look forward to hopefully being able to offer LAN final experiences again to players, talent and fans.
Please note that as a result of the LAN cancellation, the dates of LPL CS:GO Pro Season 3 have been amended. See below for our Season 3 schedule:
