LetsPlay.Live (LPL) has partnered with KRAFTON, Inc. to provide support and international pathways for the upcoming season of LPL PUBG leagues.
LetsPlay.Live have a solid history of providing professional PUBG esports tournaments and world-class broadcasts since 2019. This partnership highlights KRAFTON’s dedicated support of third-party events in the Oceanic region.
Funding from KRAFTON will enable LPL to support the growth of the ANZ PUBG community through additional prize money across all divisions, a pathway to international PUBG events, and ability to elevate Pro and Challenger broadcasts for viewers.
All prize pools in LPL PUBG Season 2 have been increased from the previous season by up to $9000 AUD. In addition, all players across Amateur, Challenger and Pro divisions who win a “Chicken Dinner” in-game will also receive a cash prize.
Thanks to this partnership, LPL Pro PUBG players will also have the opportunity to qualify into an official international esports pathway. The Top 4 teams at the end of the LPL Pro season will receive direct invites into the final round of the PCS5 OCE Open Qualifier later in the year – the official pathway for the PUBG Continental Series.
“We are thrilled to work with KRAFTON and support the Oceanic region through LPL’s leagues,” says Duane Mutu, Managing Director of LetsPlay.Live. “LPL are excited to be offering an international avenue for our region’s players in 2021 and to be showcasing the ANZ player base through elevated broadcast for fans of PUBG worldwide.”
LPL PUBG Season 2 2021 begins May 24, with both Pro and Challenger divisions airing at twitch.tv/lpl_pubg.
