Oceanic esports broadcaster LetsPlay.Live (LPL) has once again partnered with FBC to bring gaming and esports content to Pacific linear channels.
Beginning Tuesday 19th April, FBC Sports will be broadcasting the LPL-produced 2022 VALORANT Oceania Tour - Stage 1 each week from 7PM FJT. Esports fans in Fiji will be able to watch one of the best professional leagues in the Oceanic region from the comfort of their own homes.
LPL and FBC TV have a longstanding relationship, broadcasting to screens since 2020. LPL Pro Rocket League Oceanic Championship was the first esports content in the world to be delivered to Pacific network television. This continuation of the partnership marks another historic event for Oceanic esports - being the first time VALORANT esports has been broadcast to the Pacific region’s linear networks.
Duane Mutu, Managing Director of LPL, is excited to continue the partnership and offer more visibility on global linear television for casual gaming fans. “It’s a fantastic win for the esports industry to see the growth in demand for this content across the Pacific region. Not only will Fijian fans get to see the best teams and players in Oceania competing for their region, but it offers a chance to see the best in esports broadcasting through our hosts, shout-casters and LPL’s capabilities.”
FBC adds: “The FBC Sports channel is committed to the ongoing increase of content accessibility for the esports community in Fiji. Esports will play a big part in the future of the sporting world and television content. We are proud to be pioneering esports television content in Fiji through this partnership with LPL and we look forward to growing esports together in Fiji and the region.”
LPL’s new season of content begins airing from Tuesday 19th April 7PM FJT. For more information on the partnership with FBC Sports and broadcast information, visit www.fbc.com.fj
