2nd Dec 2016

As the final week of the LPL Call of Duty Premiership draws to a conclusion, with the playoffs starting next week, one of the best matchups of the entire tournament will culminate what has been a great performance so far by all six teams.

We’re talking about Slicer versus Beyond of course. The two professional, and highest ranked teams in this tournament, are set to clash this Saturday, live on twitch.com/letsplaylive at 7:00 PM .

A budding rivalry is most certainly on our hands. Both teams have plenty of international experience, playing in a multitude of championships. Both teams also feel they are the best team entering this match, and both will most likely be undefeated when they square off.

Beyond reached 24 points in the LPL CoD Premiership after their 5-0 win against Incept on Wednesday night.

Here’s a quick update on the current standings in the LPL Call of Duty Premiership as we head towards the weekend matchups.

Slicer and Beyond extend past just opponents, they also intricately know each other from scrimmages. Both teams are scrimming partners, with off-camera matches being ultra competitive.

Beyond’s team captain, Kainen “SwiftazOr” Kini, added some fuel to the fire Wednesday evening in his pregame interview against Incept. When asked if he felt Beyond was the best team in the competition, he responded: “Yea, without a doubt. I’d say we are a lot better then Slicer.”

SwiftazOr has undoubtedly been one of the top performing players for his team so far, with many pegging him as the best Assault Rifle player in the entire tournament. We’ll find out Saturday if he can back up his words.

Nathan “baaaacabec” Munro showed up big time last weekend as well for Beyond, adding another element to this dominating roster. He currently holds the highest KDA among all players in the tournament. He’s been especially crucial on Hardpoint maps, establishing a strong defensive presence and going on ridiculous killstreaks.

Rene “Zeuss_49” Corporaal has also been an integral member of this team, providing a second skilled AR player. Giancarlo “NimbleNimble” Vagnini ties it all together, bringing some excellent marksmen skills to the team.

Just as dominant in this tournament has been Slicer. They’ll have a chance to match Beyond’s 24 points when they play against Astonish on Saturday night, setting up a potential showdown between two undefeated teams.

Reef “YKEminence” Galloway has certainly been one of the triggerman for Slicer, dominating parts of games solely on his own. When asked about his upcoming match against Beyond, YKEminence stated: “This is our first competitive match against Beyond’s lineup on Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, I’m excited to see how both of our teams stack up against each other. May the best team win.”

He’s had plenty of support from Dean “Dean2G” Beldzinski and Ryan “killerpie” Wallath, both of whom have shown dominating skill this tournament.

Team captain Guy “Guydra” Worthington provides the experience, leadership and direction that has made Slicer a top two contender at the LPL CoD Premiership.
