SwiftazOr joins eXcellence's new NZ/AU CoD Team

The North American based eSports organization, eXcellence Gaming, is once again returning with an all new New Zealand and Australian squad to compete in the 2017 APAC (Asia Pacific) Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare season.

Matthew “Flarez” Owston and Daniel “Envious” Svircic will be returning with an Infinite Warfare squad that will also feature James “Macka” McKenzie and Jack “Rival” Prendergast. The team recently played in December, placing second in the first APAC Online CoD 2K.

The organization also announced that former Orbit player, Kainen “Swiftaz0r” Kini, has joined the team and will be featured in a starting position. Envious will now serve as a substitute in some capacity.

Swiftaz0r also just recently participated in the inaugural Letsplay.live Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Premiership. He was the Starting AR for Beyond, teaming up with Giancarlo “NimbleNimble” Vagnini, Rene “Zeuss_49” Corporaal, and Nathan “baaaacabec” Munro.

Swiftaz0r had been heavily linked as the new replacement for Denholm ‘Denz’ Taylor in Mindfreak after the region’s most decorated player joined the ex-Orbit squad.

In a statement posted on the eXcellence website, the organization stated:

“We are pleased to announce the acquisition of Kainen “Swiftazor” to our eX CoD Roster. He will replace Daniel “NvS” on the roster moving forward. Kainen was on the former Orbit Roster from Stage 1 and Stage 2. Kainen finished stage 2 with a 1.02K/D Ratio. eX Orbit also finsihed 2nd behind Mind Freak for the Stage 2 finals. With the addition of Kainen, we will be 2nd in the APAC Region in Pro Points!

As stated Daniel “NvS” has been reduced to a backup role. We are currently looking and fielding offers for Daniel. Daniel is a phenomenal player and we will do everything in our power to help him find a suitable Organization to play for in the APAC Region.”

Team Captian Flarez also added his take on the situation, “We felt as a team, this is the best possible situation to make this change. We appreciate Daniel for his time he put into our team and wish nothing but the best from him. It was a hard decision that needed to be done sooner than later.”

eXcellence previously competed in the ANZ CoD region during Black Ops 3, but their team failed to finish in a qualifying spot after finishing the season with only one win and 13 losses. The team subsequently disbanded.
