We at LPL are thrilled to announce the inaugural Dota 2 HSL Holiday Cup happening this December!
Following on from the success of our previous High School League tournaments, we’re excited to introduce a new game to the league in an exciting one-time broadcasted esports event held shortly after secondary school exams in both Australia and New Zealand.
HSL gives an opportunity for Australian & Kiwi secondary school students to compete in a competitive esports environment working together as a team and representing their school.
“HSL has been really successful so far – this year bringing more school teams into esports than ever before,” says HSL Director and Lead Shoutcaster Matt ‘Smite’ Ross. “We are really excited to once again open our arms and bring in even more teams from across the Tasman. HSL is looking forward to seeing students showcase their passion and teamwork together ??' now, for the first time in HSL history – in Dota 2.”
Registrations are now open for high school students across ANZ, with the opportunity for more than one team per school to compete. The first round of matches will begin on Saturday 1st December, with a grand final event hosted on Saturday 8th December. The top two teams from the initial seeds will battle it out in a best-of-three event on grand final day for their chance at the NZD$1,000 prize pool – perfectly timed spending money for the gifting season.
Registrations close on Wednesday 28th November 2018 at 11.59PM.
