In partnership with GRID Esports and CCT, LetsPlay.Live (LPL) are excited to be kicking off an epic new pathway for Oceanic CS:GO players with Champion of Champions Tour Oceania 2023 (CCT OCE 2023)
This is the official pathway for Oceania to the CCT Online Finals 5. How exactly do we find our Oceania representative? Teams will accrue CCT points based on their placements at the end of each Series. At the conclusion of CCT OCE 2023 Series 4, the team with the most accumulated points will earn their overseas invitation and participate in the CCT Online Finals 5 in Europe.
LPL are the official tournament provider and broadcaster of CCT events in the Oceanic region for 2023. We begin with CCT OCE 2023 Series 1 - where 6 invited teams and 2 qualified teams will go head to head in our first of four Series.

Pathway to Global Stage
The team with the most accumulated points overall across CCT OCE 2023 will be invited to participate overseas in Europe for the CCT Online Finals 5 in late November / early December.

1 - 2 September 2023
Series 1 Open Qualifier
A Bo3, Single Elimination bracket played over two days to qualify the top two teams - joining six invited teams - for Series 1. Registrations are open from Friday 25 August 3PM NZST to Friday 1 September 7:30PM NZST / 5:30PM AEST.
9-10, 15-17 September 2023
Series 1 Playoffs
Eight teams compete in a Bo3, Double Elimination bracket, culminating in a Bo5, Grand Finals. All eight participating teams earn CCT points based on their placements. The top 6 teams retain their spots for Series 2, and the bottom 2 teams must participate in FFYI (Fight-For-Your-Invite) to defend their spots.
7-9 September 2023
Series 2 Open Qualifier
Teams that did not qualify for Series 1 and/or are interested in competing in Series 2 may register to compete in the Bo3, Single Elimination Series 2 Open Qualifier. The top 2 teams qualify for FFYI Series 2. Registrations are available from Monday 4 September 9AM NZST / 7AM AEST to Thursday 7 September 7:30PM NZST / 5:30PM AEST.

The bottom 2 teams of Series 1 will vs. the Top 2 teams from Series 2 Open Qualifiers in two Bo3 FFYI matches. The winners of each FFYI Match will enter Series 2 in the two qualified team slots.
23-24 September, 29 September - 1 October 2023

Eight teams compete in a Bo3, Double Elimination bracket, culminating in a Bo5, Grand Finals. All eight participating teams earn CCT points based on their placements. Teams that did not qualify for Series 2 and/or are interested in competing in Series 3 may register to compete in the Bo3, Single Elimination Series 3 Open Qualifier. The top 2 teams qualify for FFYI Series 3. Registrations are available from Monday 18 September 9AM NZST / 7AM AEST to Thursday 21 September 7:30PM NZST / 5:30PM AEST.

The top 2 teams qualify for FFYI Series 4. Registrations are available from Monday 2 October 9AM NZDT / 7AM AEDT to Thursday 12 October 7:30PM NZDT / 5:30PM AEDT.

FAQ
What are the rules for the tournament?What about LPL CS:GO Season 3?
LPL CS:GO Season 3 will run entirely separate from CCT OCE for 2023. LPL will continue to run the Open and Amateur Divisions as our grassroot leagues. However, Evolution and Challenger Divisions will be placed on-hold as we anticipate teams wanting to prioritise and participate in the CCT OCE 2023. In 2024, there will be plans to integrate the LPL Divisions and CCT OCE ecosystems together. More details to come towards 2024.
I won [insert league here]. Will I be invited to CCT OCE?No. CCT OCE 2023 is a separate ecosystem to the LPL Divisions until 2024.
What happens if my team fails to qualify for CCT OCE Series 1-3 - will I get another chance?Teams that do not qualify for the two open qualifier spots in each Series will still be able to participate for a spot in the upcoming Series.
The top 2 teams from each Series Open Qualifier will compete against the bottom 2 teams of the current Series to determine who qualifies into the two remaining team spots for the next Series.
If my team wants to enter a CCT OCE Series Open Qualifier, but has not participated in any previous CCT OCE 2023 activity, can I still enter?Yes! You do not need to have participated in CCT OCE 2023 prior to entering any of our Open Qualifiers.
How long will each series be?There will be four series in total in CCT OCE 2023. Each series will be played across two weeks.
