LPL Season 1 2021: DOTA 2

Tournament Information:
In Season 1 2021, Dota 2 will have a $5,800AUD prize pool across all divisions and will continue to improve on all levels of quality in operations. LPL are also excited to welcome back Berocca to LPL Pro leagues. Berocca will be sponsoring LPL Pro Dota 2 Season 1 2021 and offering an MVP award of $500 NZD at the end of the season to one outstanding player. This is in addition to the current season prize pool of $5,000 AUD for LPL Pro.

For those wanting to participate in the Pro Division, you can test your skills in the Open Qualifier held on January 30th and January 31st. See more details in Key Dates & Broadcast Dates!

We have also brushed up a few pieces in our Dota 2 ruleset. All players are highly encouraged to re-read through our terms and ruleset (located below), and ensure they will be able to commit to the scheduling requirements for all levels of play.

Our Dota 2 Open and Amateur Divisions will remain largely unchanged, though users can look to community cast these Divisions should they choose to.

Season 1 Divisions and Format:
All Divisions will require at least 8 teams to commence.

Open - Free to join. Elo format. Teams update their match times to be assigned up to 3 matches per week. Matches are Best of 1. Winning team will be allowed to participate in Amateur Season 1 2021 for free.
Amateur - $800. LPL Premium required. Teams update their match times to be assigned up to 3 matches per week. Matches are Best of 1.
Pro - $5,000. $200 Team Entry Fee. Round Robin format. Matches are Best of 2.

Registration:

Open Qualifier:
Teams will not need LPL Premium to participate in the Open Qualifier for Pro Division.

- In order to qualify for LPL Pro, there will be a Best of 1 Double Elimination Open Qualifier.
- Top 4 teams from the open qualifier will join Pro Division, if there are any dead Pro Division teams, further spots will be made available.
- The Open Qualifier will be held on 30th January and 31st January (1PM NZT start time on both days).
