2022 VALORANT Oceania Tour - Stage 1

General info

Tournament Information:
2022 VALORANT Oceania Tour - Stage 1 will feature a $25,000 AUD prize pool for the top 8 teams, with the winning team after each Regional Playoffs scoring a place overseas in the APAC Playoffs in March 2022. Teams will begin their journey in the Open Qualifiers and fight their way to the Regional Playoffs where the top 8 teams will earn points based on their placements. These points will accumulate throughout the year, with the top teams with the most accumulated points heading towards 2022 VALORANT Oceania Tour - OCE Championship held in September 2022.

2022 VALORANT Oceania Tour - Stage 1 will also directly invite our top placing teams from 2021, Order and Chiefs, to participate in the Group Stage as Seed 1 and Seed 2 respectively.

As always, we highly encourage all players to read through the ruleset (see below) to check their eligibility and ensure they will be able to commit to the scheduling requirements for the tournament. With the top team of 2022 VOT Stage 1 qualifying to partake in the APAC Playoffs overseas, players in the top 8 teams will be required to produce valid passports, visas and international vaccination passports to LPL and Riot Games by the conclusion of the tournament (see Key Dates & Schedule).

Eligible countries in Oceania includes: Australia, Papua New Guinea, New Zealand, Fiji, the Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, New Caledonia (France), Samoa, Kiribati, the Federated States of Micronesia, Tonga, the Marshall Islands, Cook Islands (NZ), Wallis and Futuna (France), Tuvalu, Nauru, Niue (NZ), Tokelau (NZ), the Pitcairn Islands (UK), Heard Island, and the McDonald Islands.

More Information

Open Qualifiers & Registration:
-All players must complete the 2022 Player Release Form 24 hours before game day - this is a requirement to play and if you have not filled it in you will not be able to compete. The Player Release Form will be shared with all sign ups prior to the Open Qualifiers.
-All players must be 16 years of age from their first playdate.

Registration for Open Qualifiers is now open! Registration closes on 9th January 2022 11:59PM NZT. Seeding & bracket to be released on Tuesday 11 January 2022.

Format:
2022 VALORANT Oceania Tour - Stage 1 will have three phases.

Phase 1 - Open Qualifiers
Open Qualifiers will be a Best of 3, Single Elimination Format (played until completion). Seeding matches to be played for 8-4th place. Only the top 6 teams will qualify for Phase 2 in Stage 1.

Phase 2 - Group Stage
Group Stage will see the top 8 teams seeded into two groups.

-Group A - Seed 1 (Order), 8, 3, and 6 (from Open Qualifiers).
-Group B - Seed 2 (Chiefs), 7, 4, and 5 (from Open Qualifiers).

Each group will be a Best of 3, Single Round Robin (each team playing each other once within the group). All 8 teams will be seeded into the Regional Playoffs pending on their placements within their group.

Phase 3 - Regional Playoff
Regional Playoffs will see all top 8 teams seeded into a Best of 3, Double Elimination Bracket, with a Best of 5 Grand Finals.

Week 2 - Friday 4 February, Saturday 5 February and Sunday 6 February.

Regional Playoffs
Week 1 - Thursday 10 February, Friday 11 February, Saturday 12 February and Sunday 13 February.
Week 2 - Thursday 17 February, Friday 18 February, Saturday 19 February and Sunday 20 February.
