Hey all,

Audio-Technica just kitted out the SYF Battlefield team heading to Germany next week with these brand new headsets which build upon the award-winning AG1 and ADG1. I had an opportunity to snap some shots before passing them on and wanted to share them.

Here is a blurb about the AG1x
"Now sporting a sleek red and black design, the AG1x offers complete isolation with a much more even weight distribution and improved audio quality to give gamers the audio edge. With incredible natural bass response, the AG1x use Audio-Technica's D.A.D.S (double air dampening system) to replicate in game audio in an honest and accurate way whilst providing an incredibly comfortable and enjoyable listening experience."

"Audio-Technica's new ADG1x has adopted a new blue and silver design and now uses an updated driver to build on the success of the original ADG1. The new EQ and dynamic range of the ADG1x takes the original Open-Air gaming experience to another level with its unique proof positive design."

If you're curious check out our facebook page or head to the new A-T Gaming Headset site.

Some nice looking headsets. Been planning to get the AG1's for a while now. Might just get the new ones instead.

EDIT: DAMN $400 on PCCG. That's pretty steep lmao.

$400 and still no detachable microphone, that is a little disappointing

RIP audio technica. You were great while you lasted. Looks like back to sennheiser if I ever manage to break my headsets. Hate how soon as companies take on gaming cash cow prices go through the fucking roof.

They look great though and congrats on SYF for picking them up for your trip.
GLHF over in germany we will be cheering and watching.

Got my AD1x's from AT they are slick af. They pair nicely with my Open Ear 900x's. Microphone quality is a lot better than my old Zalman Clip-on(RIP).

Wouldnt buy audio technica again mic cable broke after 3 months pretty shit quality, funny they didnt want to fix it. Will never recommend audio technica again (In a pretty strong position due to my job in recommending headphones). 300 dollar headphones should last at least a couple of years in regards to normal wear and tear.

Had my AD900's for 3 years now..shoved them in a bag so many times to take them to lan parties..been dropped off my desk plenty of times and landed on the cable outlet with no worries. Not always good to judge based on one experience.

OT: those headphones look awesome and the photos are insane. WD on your pickup!

My K712's cable is fraying where it attaches to the headphones. Luckily it's mini XLR so you can find a replacement easily enough.

Haven't tried the new audio technicas but I'd like to for sure.

ADG1's have the best sound I've ever heard, look good, comfortable af and are surprisingly strong lol.

I've rage thrown them that many times and they still work, somehow...
