Hello Everyone,

Just wanted to make a quick post about an upcoming Dota 2 LAN Tournament that I'll be hosting next month at Over9K Gamer's Lounge in Melbourne.

TOURNAMENT REGISTRATION, EQUIPMENT & PRIZES:

Sign Up – Preregistration Only.

In order to participate in this event, pre-registration and pre-payment will be required.

To pre-register your team, please send through the following information using private message via our Facebook Page:

Team Size: (Please specify if you plan to include subs in your roster, Max: 2)
Match Time Slot: (Please Select in order of Preference)
Morning (10.00am – 3.00pm)
Afternoon (1.00pm – 6.00pm)

NOTE – Each team will need to send through both time slots in order of preference. We will do our best to allocate your matches according to your preference, but please understand that it may not be possible to allocate every team perfectly.

IMPORTANT – Preregistrations will close MIDNIGHT, MONDAY, 15th of MAY or when the team cap is reached.



PAYMENT
Tournament Entry Fee: $150.00 per Team.

Spectators – Free

Payment must be received before a team can complete their registration for the event. Should a team need to withdraw from the event, a full refund will be issued provided that at least 48-hours' notice is given.

EQUIPMENT
Players are more than welcome to bring their own peripherals to use if they would prefer to do so.
This includes Keyboards, Mice, Headsets and Mousepads.
Players will not be allowed to bring their own Monitors or PC's to play on.
Please contact us prior to the event if your equipment requires additional third party software to be used.


PRIZES
1st – 75% of Total Prize Pool
2nd - 25% of Total Prize Pool

- The Prize Pool Distributions works as follows, for every team that participates $100.00 is added to the Prize Pool.
As an example, in the event that 12 teams participate, the prize pool of $1200.00 is split 75/25 between the Winning Team and the Runner Up.



GAME RULES & TOURNAMENT FORMAT:

POOL STAGE

Tournament Format – Double Elimination
Pool Size – 6
Match Format – Captain's Mode

Pool Stage Matches:
- Best of 1
- Selection Priority will be determined via a coin toss. The team with selection priority may pick either their side of the map OR the drafting order.
- 2 Teams from each Pool will advance to the Finals, 1 Upper Bracket Team and 1 Lower Bracket Team.


FINALS – TOP 4
Tournament Format – Double Elimination
Match Format – Captain's Mode

Upper and Lower Bracket Matches:
- Best of 1.
- Selection Priority will be determined via a coin toss. The team with selection priority may pick either their side of the map OR the drafting order.

Grand Finals:
- Best of 3 with No Game Advantage.
- Selection Priority will be given to the Upper Bracket Team for Game 1 and will alternate for Games 2 and 3.
The team with selection priority may pick either their side of the map OR the drafting order.



SCHEDULE:
9.00 AM - Venue open for Registration and Setup.
9.45 AM – Pool A Teams Check-In
10.00 AM – Pool A Matches Start

12.45 PM – Pool B Teams Check-In
1.00 PM – Pool B Matches Start

6.00 PM – Finals Bracket Start (Top 4)
11.00 PM - Tournament Ends.

Note - All teams and players must be present by their designated check-in times. Failing to do so will result in being excluded from the tournament, no exceptions will be made.

The tournament end time is a rough estimate and will vary depending on how many people sign up and how the matches progress.
