Hello everyone, below is our roadmap for Squads FPP PUBG for 2018. Whether we require premium to compete and offer prize money will be confirmed in a couple of weeks once PUBG Corp get back to us. EDIT, update here: https://www.cybergamer.com/forums/thread/615813/PUBG-season-update-prizemoney/

To maintain a teams rank between seasons you must keep at least 2 players that have played matches in the previous season. Simpy being a sub on your roster is insufficient.

Circle Changes
First circle:
33% of the map instead of 40% (Same as season 1)

Second circle:
50% instead of 65% (same as season 1)

All other settings are default.

Notable changes from season 1:
Only assault rifles and scopes are 2x, instead of all weapons and attachments (slightly closer to a default game).
The top 10 positions score points instead of top 13.
1st receives 50 more points than the previous season.
2nd-4th receive 25 more points than the previous season.

To make the finals in Season 1 you needed to average 102 points per game (roughly 5th place). This should likely remain roughly the same.

Let me know if you have any questions,

Thanks

Am I missing something or are there actually only gonna be 8 teams (32 players) in div 1 finals?

Hey astrix, little confused about the open format.

* 16 nights of matches - about 100 matches

* Teams can play a maximum of 20 matches throughout the season (about 4 matches a week required).

So teams are not required to play every Tues, Weds and Thurs? One night would be enough to get in 4 matches?

Just need to finish the season with 20 matches played? What if you play more than 20? Are the best 20 finishes selected?

The site will let you only play 20, after that you are unable to enter the queue for a match. Its the same format as season one.

You can play your matches on whatever nights suit your schedule. The matches are played from 7pm until around 9:15 (Sydney time), generally there are 150+ people queuing so there will be two matches running at once for most of the time.

If your an active team you will have no issues playing your 20 matches in time, so you probably want to take your time and pace yourself.

Season one had a limit of 25 matches, you can see the final rankings here: https://www.cybergamer.com/pubg/1/
To make finals (top 16), teams needed to average 103 points per match, which is about 5th place for every match.

Sorry I missed this, yeah this is intended to line-up with how we expect future offline finals to be supported. And I don't think there are currently enough div 1 teams to do two groups of 16 and then have finals for the top half of each at this stage, but we may move to that in the distant future if we're able to support a 64 person offline final.

Can someone please explain to me why teams already in CGi FPP Squads are able to compete in CGa FPP Squads at the same time? Like, apart from prize money, what is the purpose of that? Aren't CGa competing to qualify for CGi?

Isn't that a little unfair?

Any scope for doing a PUBG duos event in the future?

Would be kinda cool to see the kinds of duos that pair up.

Just the way it works by the looks of things, most of the CGi teams who are coming down to play CGa haven't qualified and need to do CGa in order to get a shot next time. From what I can understand anyway.

When you say next time? Do you mean after the following CGI or the one afterwards?

There seems to be a lot who are in the current CGI quals and CGA. So what happens when / if they qual in CGA and then they are already in?

CGi players are not able to compete in CGa. Combined they form one competition. I have removed all the teams that qualified to CGi from the CGa ladder, none of them had played a match.

If you notice a player/team that appears to be in both competitions let me know.

At this stage we're just doing solo and squads, with the hope that solos can be split into CGi and CGa next season.

Whether we add a duos competition will be evaluated at the start of the next season (early-mid march).
