Welcome everyone to the PUBG Roadmap for 2019. This thread will detail the format that the 2019 CyberGamer and LPL PUBG leagues will follow.
With over $18,000 announced for PUBG throughout 2019 we will be introducing a more structured league system compared to previous seasons to allow for teams to have a much simpler progression system and to replicate the way Challenger teams will play their matches through both Amateur and Open leagues.
- 16 teams ($4000)
- 16 teams ($2000) *Number of teams subject to change
- 16+ teams ($500)
- 16+ teams ($750)
For the first time in quite a long while, CyberGamer have announced a third person division with $750 up for grabs. It will be hosted on the same nights at the challenger division is run. Sign ups will open soon.
Should there be enough teams to field two 16 team lobbies in Amateur as well as there being at least 16 teams to run an Open lobby Amateur will be increased to 32 teams.
Unlike last year, you can now no longer jump straight into Amateur. For any new teams looking to compete you must register in the Open league and prove yourself worthy of being able to move up into the next league.

How do I move up into the next league?
For the 2019 seasons there will now be a relegation series involved with all three leagues. Information regarding this is below:
The bottom 8 of Challenger will face the top 8 teams from Amateur in a Best of 10 (5 games of Erangel, 5 games of Miramar) with the top 8 teams earning their spot in Challenger for the next season. The bottom 8 teams will be placed into Amateur for the next season.
Similar to Challenger/Amateur relegations, these relegations will consist of the bottom 8 teams from Amateur facing off against the top 8 teams from Open. The top 8 teams will be placed into Amateur for the next season and the bottom 8 teams will be placed into Open for the next season. Those who miss out on top 8 in Open will remain in Open for the following season.
We will be using the official PUBG settings for all leagues in-line with international standard.
The Challenger league will consist of the same 16 teams for the entire season. The season will be 8 weeks long coming to a total of 32 games per season. Both Erangel and Miramar will be played and will be played in alternating weeks e.g. Week 1 Erangel, Week 2 Miramar, Week 3 Erangel etc.
Amateur will follow the same format as Challenger should there not be enough teams signed up to run two lobbies for Amateur, with there still being enough teams for a lobby in the Open league. Should there be enough teams to do so we will release another thread detailing how Amateur will be run however, at this time it doesn’t look like this will be happening.
Should the Open league gain enough interest we will run two lobbies each night with equal number of teams (14 minimum) and seed teams into both lobbies based on their current standings on the Open ladder. If there aren’t enough teams signed up for the Open league we will go back to queueing system used for the Silver league last year as this will be the best way to allow say 20-25 teams to compete as once a game is around half way done the teams that have been eliminated early will queue up and the next game would pop whilst the first is still running, minimising wait times for all teams. As teams will be able to sign up for the Open league at any time during the season should the number of teams increase or decrease we may change the format of how Open is played out.
Season 7 Amateur Teams
So as we don’t have the time to run another set of relegations to decide who will go into Amateur this upcoming season we will use the teams who didn’t make it through the Challenger relegations, a few injected teams and those who just missed out on relegations last season. The current Amateur ladder will consist of:
- Crimson Gaming
- The Boys
- Sleeper Gaming
- Fox Gaming
- [Injected Team]
- [Injected Team]
- [Injected Team]
- Devious Esports
- Zero Gravity
- Viral Gaming
- Fabled Gaming
- Oddity Esports
Injected teams for this season of Amateur will run differently to how injected teams have worked in the past. If you wish to be considered as an injected team and jump straight into Amateur for next season send one of the PUBG admins a DM on discord, or submit a support ticket with your team name, team members and past achievements as a team. Injected teams will be decided by admin discretion and even though 3 spots are reserved for injected teams, the teams next in line from Silver last season may be moved up if we don’t feel any teams should be injected into Amateur.
TEAMS WISHING TO BE CONSIDERED AS AN INJECTED TEAM MUST NOTIFY AN ADMIN BEFORE THE 20TH OF JANUARY. AFTER THIS TIME WE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTING ANY FURTHER APPLICATIONS FOR INJECTED TEAMS.
Start of Season 7 for all leagues: 23rd January
End of Season 7 for all leagues: 13th March
Season 8 Relegations: 20th March
