Welcome to the NBL Oz Gaming Tournament Series!

LPL have partnered with NBL Oz Gaming and are excited to announce the NBL Oz Gaming Tournament Series, open for all basketball fans across Australia and New Zealand.

The NBL Oz Gaming Tournament Series will feature 5v5 and 3v3 NBA 2K24 tournaments with a total cash prize of $8,000 AUD, draft eligibility, and a chance for an NBA 2K League contract.

There will be three events: the NBL Oz Gaming 5v5 Tournament – Open Qualifiers, NBL Oz Gaming 3v3 Tournament and the NBL Oz Gaming 5v5 Tournament.

Win the chance for a player to receive an NBA 2K League contract at the discretion of NBL Oz Gaming.

Tournament Format

Fri 13 Oct

5v5 Tournament – Open Qualifiers

Starts at 7PM AEDT

Free to join for Australia and New Zealand residents. Format will feature a Best of 1, double elimination bracket played until completion. Top 8 teams to qualify to the 5v5 Tournament.

Sun 15 Oct

3v3 Tournament

Starts at 12PM AEDT

Free to join for Australia and New Zealand residents. Format will feature a Best of 5, single elimination bracket played until completion.

Sun 22 Oct

5v5 Tournament

Starts at 12PM AEDT

Top 8 invited teams and top 8 qualified teams (total 16 teams). Format will feature a single elimination bracket with Best of 3 Round 1, Quarter & Semi Finals and a Best of 5 Grand Finals.

What are the rules for the tournament?

Are all tournaments in the NBL Oz Gaming Tournament Series free to play?

Yes, all tournaments will be free to play.

Do I have to be over the age of 18 to play?

Yes. All tournaments in the NBL Oz Gaming Tournament Series require players to be over the age of 18 to participate.

What is the check-in process?

The check-in process for 5v5 Tournament – Open Qualifiers & 3v3 Tournament will commence 3 hours prior to the start time. Participants will receive a reminder to check-in when check-ins commence.

What is the registration period?

Registrations for 5v5 Tournament – Open Qualifiers & 3v3 Tournament open 21 September and close on 10 October 12PM AEDT.

Can I register to the 5v5 Tournament directly?

Teams not invited must play in the 5v5 Tournament – Open Qualifiers and place in the top 8 teams to qualify.
