About
The IeSF World Championships is a annual event where national teams from across the globe attend and compete to determine who has the best players. Not only are players competing for national pride but also for either a Gold, Silver or Bronze medal and some prize money as well.
This year's IeSF World Championship will be held in Jakarta, Indonesia from the 6th-9th of October. Hosted by the Indonesian eSports Federation, it is anticipated that over 250 players will gather in Jakarta to compete across the three official titles:
– Counter-Strike: Global Offensive;
– League of Legends; and,
– Hearthstone
Australia will be sending representatives in all titles this year, with the official qualifiers set to begin on the 30th of July and conclude on the 28th of August. Winners of these qualifiers will be awarded the national uniform and be flown to the World Championships to represent Australia.

Event Details
The International eSports Federation (IeSF) hosts an annual World Championship featuring over 35 countries who each send a national team of athletes to represent their country.
The 2016 World Championship will be held in Jakarta, Indonesia from the 6-9th of October. There are over 37 countries already hosting their own qualifiers to send representatives to the 2016 Jakarta World Championships, hosted by the Indonesian eSports Federation in association with Indonesian Government.
Players registered to the qualifiers will be competing for the chance to represent Australia at the World Championships.
The tournament will involve initial competition online during the groups phase and quarter finals bracket until the top four are determined. The top four teams will then be invited to Sydney to play in a live studio Finals the weekend of 27-28th of August 2016.
We encourage all teams of any skill level or competitive experience to register and participate. The entry for the event is $100 per team. Please be aware that first place can only be awarded to a team comprising entirely of Australian citizens.
Format
Phase 1. Groups of Four Round Robin
Phase 2. Quarter Finals played in Single Elimination Bracket
Phase 3. Finals bracket with Top 4 teams hosted at live studio in Sydney.
Prizes
1st. Qualifies to represent Australia in CS:GO, joining Team Australia in Jakarta at the World Championships. (Flights, accommodation and $1,000 in cash included)
2nd. Wins $2,000 in cash
3rd. Wins $1,000 in cash
4th. Wins $200 in cash
