For clarity:
Wait you mean to say I downloaded an intrusive beta version a year ago that pretty much swept up my deets and is probably stored in some god forsaken dungeon in somebodies basement?
It wasn't intrusive, it had more or less the same capabilities of EAC and just scanned PID's and took better screenshots. The information was purged after a time period to save storage space unless specified otherwise so i don't believe it's stored anywhere.
I mean we even tried to get one developed (CGAC - for reasons even unknown to me this never eventuated to what was planned).
It wasn't implemented primarily because uploading uncompressed game window screenshots is not something that can be done without severe lag on most Australian internet connections.
I don't really post much here anymore but i will say just because you download cheats or you muddled with programming in high-school doesn't mean you have a solid grasp on how a working anti-cheat functions or the maintenance it requires. It is one of the most complex, bullshit topics I've ever had the displeasure of researching and working on. Even if you do trudge through ALL the shit required to make an even laughable AC, there are mountains of ethical and legal concerns at every turn.
Any script kiddie with a decent internet connection & a little bit of patience can bypass any anti-cheat (including the coveted ESEA), the best detection is manual review & relying on VAC waves.
People asking for an AC panel are obviously pretty new to CG and don't know the interesting history behind the old one, i don't think an AC panel will ever be effective until the player information can be stripped from a demo and no bias can be had going into a demo.
I don't know what the current admin team has in the pipe but I'm 100% confident it's on their radar and a solution is being discussed, the nature of the game unfortunately prevents them from doing much in the short term.
If you want real results the global community should rally Valve to implement the unused intrusive modules in VAC in a 'tournament' VAC build available to tournament organizers or on tournament servers, until then you aren't going to find real results anywhere.
