Match Ban - Fiend

I’ll make it short since this thread is filled with overwhelming confirmation bias and axe body spray.

I’ve played with fiend for 6 months, he isn’t cheating. The admin bias on cg is incredible, fiend was willing to challenge admins, and yes, could be a cuck at times. But this idiot isn’t cheating. It’s pertinent to add no POV was requested of fiend from any cg based games played in the past 6 months.

With that being said the community, and admin team, would prefer a witch hunt. The decisions this admin team, and by extension cg, have been making lately are incredible. Every other week a new post surfaces about the admins conduct; not to mention the amount of posts or threads that just get straight deleted.

That being said, as I nose dive into the pavement and out of this meme of a scene, I encourage the illustrious admin team to issue me a harbouring ban.

I have no explanation for this video, but it is at best unexplained. I have not heard either side unpack and make arguments or explanations. Admittedly that looks worse then I remember it =/.

Quote from Carlin13 on the 5th of July 2018
I've given more explanation as to why it's cheated compared to why it isn't, but an interesting detail that I missed is his pitch is at 88.99. The max pitch is actually 89, which suggests that (assuming cheats) whoever wrote the cheat made an off-by-one error and used a < 89 instead of <= 89 comparison in their angle clamping function. There's also the fact that this hasn't been documented as bug by anyone, ever, in the history of CS:GO, as a bug. But apparently it happened not once, but twice to Fiend (heard second-hand, but apparently said by one of your teammates), and never on a server secured by anything stronger than VAC?

Match Ban - Fiend

as for the antiaim video everyone has been discussing, I was giving him the benefit of the doubt but after watching the demo you can see his pitch stuttering between min and max, clearly cheated

Quote from Cheeseball on the 6th of July 2018

Can you elaborate on what "pitch stuttering between min and max" means?

Quote from hK- on the 6th of July 2018
Pitch = rotation on the y-axis (looking up and down).
I assume the (supposed) anti-aim works by moving quickly between straight up and straight down (min and max pitch) thereby messing up the hitbox.

Quote from Cheeseball on the 6th of July 2018
That was my interpretation, but that's not what I'm seeing in the demo

Quote from clug on the 6th of July 2018
you're correct, it's not visible to the human eye, which is because it works similarly to how psilent used to - the player model isn't actually re-drawing the animation even though his angles are changing. it's kind of hard to explain why this happens (and I can link some stuff privately if you'd like, but it's on a cheating forum).
if you enable cl_showpos 1 in console and spectate him during that round, you can see one of the angles constantly changing between -88.99 and 271.01
funnily enough I'm pretty sure if this was an MM game he would've ended up with an untrusted ban, cause those angles aren't even legal on valve servers

Yes, that's what I observed.
It should range from -180 to 180, but it shows -89 as 271 which is the identical location. The floor would be 90.

I also observed this for everyone in the server, whilst fiend is looking at the roof. Also in every other round, I saw the same thing.

So I checked a chiefs v legacy demo I had, from ESEA. They were also constantly changing to the same angle from the other direction (-5 to 355 for example)

Quote from hK- on the 5th of July 2018
Not sure what you mean, but between -180 and +180 is the horizontal range, and -89 to +89 is the max angles for vertical range (pitch axis). As can be seen in the gif Fiend hits angles that are outside of the c_maxpitch which is not possible using regular inputs.

Quote from Cheeseball on the 5th of July 2018
Yeah -90 to 90, rather than 180 but the concept is the same. 271 is the same angle as -89. If he was changing from 89 to -89 instantly then it would be weird

Quote from clug on the 5th of July 2018
I see what you're saying, my mistake assuming cl_showpos wouldn't be that broken, but regardless, even if the server somehow dropped his existing pitch angle (and nothing else) and reset it to max (looking straight up), any mouse movement he made after should have been shown relative to the max pitch, so it should have at least been moving up and down slightly since angles are sent in delta. would love an explanation for that, or his POV (although I doubt he has one since its a scrim).
