With the support of the AUS based esports betting startup http://www.mevu.gg , 3 new DM servers are going up today.

Here's what we've got running so far.

All 3 servers are using the active duty map cycle with a roundtime of 15 minutes, and are 128 tick.

Essentially we're looking to get away from the 24 slot perma dust2 servers the community has already.

Myself and the MeVu guys are all CSGO players, and want to provide servers that the community wants. We could setup 1v1 arenas, awp maps, aim maps, different DM configs, whatever people think is wanted and would be popular. The hardware can handle it. ;)

Hey guys! Not sure if this kind of promotion is allowed, so remove if necessary but have a read and support local developers and Aussie startup culture!

Startup weekend is a 54 hour event that runs over the course of the weekend in Brisbane (right now!). People pitch ideas, form a team and try to validate and build a solution. We are team meVu and CyberGamer.com.au is the perfect place for us to try to get an idea of how viable our idea is.

meVu is a PvP, micro-betting platform that encourages interaction with e-sports and it's audience.Our focus is on putting the games first and having the betting come secondary. We want to encourage tiny bets (less than 1c) to help incentivise and make watching e-sports more exciting. Challenge your friends in a 1v1 or as part of the pool (Think CSGOLounge mixed with SaltyBet).

Right now we are looking at gathering expressions of interest in such a platform while we continue to build the website. Admins can mark the match as being cast If you plan on casting a game let Jekt/Meshu or myself know and we can put a link up! We've been a bit slack with this so far as most casts have been organised just prior to the match starting.

As some of you may be aware the rule set has changed since the beginning of Round 3. Please take some time to review the rules here.

The main changes affecting all teams in all their games are in regards to the way tiebreakers are handled. We are aware that the previous rules left way for the marine side to turtle out the game in order to give them a better chance of team selection for the tiebreaker. This created many boring and frustrating games and is being rectified.

As a temporary fix an admin will be present for all games. In the event of a tiebreaker, the admin will walk through the Random door. The CHALLENGING team will play whichever side the admin is placed in.

Season 2 will see sweeping changes to the current rule-set as we work out many of the issues that have occurring during this unintentional 'testing' season. It is likely that tiebreakers will be eliminated all together and a 1-1 result permissible.

It's great to see so many of the games so far being played out with many more scrims throughout the week being played! The quality of the games and shifting strategy has been great to watch. Look forward to more changes and more games being cast on the Offical CyberGamer Twitch.TV channel!
