[CGPS] Staff Updates

Voltris argued we wouldn't work with them at CG PS because of arrogance. We were 100% prepared to partner. However he tried shutting us out of all comps except social comps on days that suited him if we did, not sure about you but i feel that's a fairly 1 sided partnership.

u make it sound like cgps have acomp every night ?
haha u couldve easily run comps wen cg werent running any

Quote from Lachdog on the 11th of June 2015
No, But they didn't want us running anything, not our pro series, no 5v5 comps, no leagues. And then to be called arrogant for not accepting this partnership is the reason we had a light hearted dig at the outgoing admins. Then the admin deleted his account, no ban, just straight up deleted for a single post. I'd probably say that's never happened before and is a bit of an over reaction.

Also Swak, I've banned you like 1,000 times, you can call me out all you want, you have a fair way to catch up.

Voltris is the boss over what comps you can have?
Why is this?

No the point is CGPS wanted to shut us out of doing any comps based on points ladder or leagues, which is every type of comp there is except for social.

We wanted to promote you and do our pro series but no that's a comp that threatens CG's monopoly on the community so apparently that's BL to us we can't do PS4 according to Voltris.

Just waiting for the day CG PS go the same way as Xbox. Because lets be honest, i could probably hold my breath till then.

which is why you were never picked up as a CyberGamer staff member in the first place.

Interesting to see your 10/10 knowledge of who has and hasn't been CG Staff.

Tasmania: 7:00pm
Victoria:7:00pm

The full list of competing players can be found "HERE" under "CYBERGAMER ADVANCED WARFARE ASTRO CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES - COMPETITION POOL"

This competition will run as a single elimination competition. The current CyberGamer Advanced Warfare 4v4 ruleset will be used throughout the competition.

The bracket for this competition can be found here: http://challonge.com/CGAWCSMidweek19

All of the required settings are listed below. If a setting is not listed below, it should not be changed from its default state.

5.1 Hosting:
  • 5.1.1: If a suitable neutral host is available, it must be used if the connection is playable by both teams and is a viable host.
  • 5.1.2: Once a host has been agreed upon, then a host check must take place to determine whether the connection is viable for all players or not.
  • 5.1.3: If a neutral host can not be found, the higher seeded team will host maps 1, 3 and 5. The lower seeded team will host maps 2 and 4.
  • 5.1.4: If a team has 3 or more New Zealand or Western Australian players playing they are within their own right to host their specific maps if it's a self host match.
  • 5.1.5: A neutral host can be refused if a player's host can surpass that of the mutual. For example, the neutral host has 1 upload, and a player's host has 3 upload, the player's host is obviously superior and will overrule 5.1.1.
  • 5.1.6: You cannot dispute a host's connection after a match has been completed; any 'hosting' disputes that result after a match has already been carried out will be ignored.
6.2 Connection Issues:
  • 6.2.1: A connection issue or timeout can be described as; excessive lag, connectivity issues, or player lagouts/blackscreening. If this occurs, notify the host that there is a problem. Only do so when appropriate as explained below.
  • 6.2.2: In capture the flag, if a player lags out after the first kill, 30 seconds, or the first flag capture, the match must continue until there is an intermission. The player that lost connection can rejoin the private match lobby at any point and continue to play the remainder of that map and mode. If the match is required to end at the intermission, the player then has 5 minutes to rejoin the lobby, or the map should resume.
  • 6.2.3: In hardpoint, if a player lags out after the first kill, 30 seconds, or the first 15 points captured, the match must continue until completion. The player that lost connection can rejoin the private match lobby at any point and continue to play the remainder of that map and mode.
  • 6.2.4: In uplink, if a player lags out after the first kill, 30 seconds, or the first point capture, the match must continue until there is an intermission. The player that lost connection can rejoin the private match lobby at any point and continue to play the remainder of that map and mode. If the match is required to end at the intermission, the player then has 5 minutes to rejoin the lobby, or the map should resume.
  • 6.2.5: In search and destroy, if a player lags out after the first kill, 30 seconds or the bomb plant, then the match must continue until there is an intermission. At this point, the scores should be recorded; the player that lost connection then has 5 minutes to rejoin the lobby, or the map should resume.
  • 6.2.6: If a timeout occurs in a search and destroy match, in the round 1-10, and the match proceeds to go to round 11 after the restart, the match must be ended before the 11th round is played. At this point, the scores should be recorded; kills should now be tallied up, and the team with the most kills will continue the 11th round as the Atlas side. (Defence)

Rules are subject to change at any time; it is the responsibility of all the players participating to know and understand the rules before scheduling or participating in any matches. By participating, you acknowledge that you have read, understand, and agree to abide by the rules posted here.

It is preferable that all players competing in this competition add each other over Xbox Live. This will make sure matches are happening fluently and overall will ensure a smooth tournament.

This gameday thread, along with the single elimination bracket, will be constantly updated on gameday, and we expect players to organise themselves in getting matches started; we do not want to be chasing teams. The more you guys can do to help this competition almost self-run on the day, the smoother it will run.

As mentioned above, please post all results in this thread. Feel free to also post below if you have any questions, concerns or comments!
